The Tuition Adjustment Program (TAP) is available to low-income families who, after careful consideration of their financial resources and priorities, are not able to contribute the full standard tuition amount. Once a child has been accepted into a class by the class teacher, a family may enter into the Tuition Adjustment process. A space is available on the Enrollment Application Form to indicate a request for a Tuition Adjustment Packet.
The Tuition Adjustment process begins when the family submits a Parent’s Financial Statement form. The information provided is analyzed using a method developed by
the National Association of Independent Schools. The family is then contacted by the school’s Tuition Working Group to schedule a date and time to meet. During the meeting, an in-depth conversation takes place to determine the
family’s contribution. The intent of the process is for the needs and well being of
both the school and the family to be recognized and taken into consideration; both the family and the school must listen carefully and stretch to meet the needs of the other. Generally, at the end of the conversation, an agreement is reached specifying the family’s contribution for the school year. |
